Spring In The Backyard
We’ve been waiting a while, so it was worth the couple minutes in the garden. Tulips, Japanese Painted ferns, hostas, and even the dreaded dandelion make appearances.
-

Sliver of Longwood
From an earlier short trip to Longwood Gardens, I wanted to get there before the water lilies were done for the year.
-

Black-Eyed Susans
Getting some time with my Nikkor 200mm f/4 macro in my back yard.

Magnolia, 2012
These are a week earlier than 2010, and three weeks earlier than 2009. They’re still my favorite flowering tree.

Orchids and Other Flora
I decided to take another walk around Longwood Gardens to see how the orchids are doing. As usual, I spent time with the calla lilies and the silver room, too.
-

The Reel Deal
These are scans of real film, all the way to the sprocket holes. This is from a quick Sunday visit to Longwood Gardens. Taken with my F100, and both my 200mm f/4 macro and SMC Takumar 100mm f/4 macro.

Cascade Mountain, Our First of 46
Cascade Mountain is, along with Mount Marcy, the most popular summit in the Adirondacks. It benefits from a relatively short 3-mile hike which starts from well-traveled Route 73 and spectacular 360 degree panoramic views.
