Gear:
I had recently hiked the three Santanoni mountains in June, at the time remarking on how wet it was. Earlier this month, the drought had dried up even the wettest of trails; the thunderstorms that preceded this hike brought them back to their soaked and muddy glory. The lead-in trail to Bradley Pond was, unimaginably, even wetter than in June.
There is a revolution happening in digital cameras, and it’s all about miniaturization. We peruse 5 different SMC Takumars in this walk around Longwood Gardens.
More exploration with my Lens Turbo, this time with some Super-Multi-Coated Takumars: 24mm f/3.5, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.8, and 135mm f/2.5.
Old Rag Mountain in Shenandoah has some serious scrambling up and down crevices, around and over (and under!) massive boulders. In other words, it was really cool.

The Mystic Aquarium is small, but decent. They had Beluga whales, sea lions, and penguins outside, and then a small but nice exhibit inside.
