Major Louis Guillermin, R.I.P.

Air Force Major Louis Fulda Guillermin, 25, of West Chester, was killed in action on April 30, 1968 while bravely serving in Vietnam. Major Guillerman and the pilot, Lt. Col. Robert Pietsch, were flying over Laos when their aircraft was downed in Savannakhet Province.

Major Guillermin’s remains were found May 28th, 2013, and positively identified using DNA. He was flown back to Philadelphia on October 4th, where the Warriors’ Watch escorted him to Oxford, PA.

There will be a brief service on October 5th from 9-10AM, at which point he will be escorted through West Chester, where he graduated high school in 1960, to his final resting place in Broomall, PA.
