Porter & Cascade
Our first time up we were new to hiking (Cascade was our first high peak) we didn’t think to take the side hike to Porter Mountain. This time we did both, two peaks in one day.

The day after completing Algonquin, we stayed around Keene.
Algonquin is the second-highest peak in all of New York, at 5,114 feet, and the hike was terrific.
Day 2 saw a quick and easy hike up Baxter Mountain.
Hurricane Mountain isn’t one of the 4,000-foot ‘high peaks’, but it is a wonderfully difficult climb with an old fire tower at the top.
Taken over several nights in Keene, outside of Lake Placid, NY.
For something a little different…
The Warriors’ Watch and A Hero’s Welcome welcomed Specialist Vincent Violi last year from his previous tour; this time, he brought Specialist Alan Solie from Wisconsin to see what we do here in Philly.
One of the best events in West Chester is the annual Iron Hill Criterium bike race.
We couldn’t have had a more perfect day to welcome home Matt Ragen, USMC, from Afghanistan.
It was dark – I needed all of the ISO 3200 available in this film!
Some digital snaps from last night’s show. As always, TSK sounded great. The venue was…DARK.
Two-for-one today! The Warriors’ Watch and A Hero’s Welcome were on hand to welcome Corporal Casey Newman back from Afghanistan, where we escorted him and his girlfriend Sergeant Kristen Zamichieli to a Sunday party.
The Warriors’ Watch and A Hero’s Welcome were on hand to welcome home PFC Christian Sirianni, US Army.
