The Guardians of the Mount Moriah 96

Mount Moriah cemetery in Philadelphia has 96 Civil War veterans buried there. There was also a bronze sentry standing watch over the “Soldiers’ Home”, until it was stolen from the cemetery 40 years ago.

Thankfully, 26 years ago the sentry ended up in Chester, where a foundry repaired and restored him. However, at some point the sentry ended up at a different cemetery in Philadelphia, and yesterday we were asked to escort him back to the foundry in Chester.
