North Meadows Sunrise

On my final ‘rest’ day, I decided that I wanted to get some pre-dawn shots from either near North Meadows (along Adirondack Loj Road) or from Keene Valley. The skies were crystal clear from the cabin at 4 AM, so I bolted out and chose the North Meadows route.

Unfortunately there was a hazy cloud cover (Adirondack weather can be pretty localized!) and the stars weren’t visible, so I just waited for some sun. I set up at a couple spots, nothing too far from the road, and waited for the warm sun to dapple the top of Algonquin, one of my favorite peaks.

Taken with a Nikon Coolpix A camera, review forthcoming.
